Pick up a Winner

Last fall the innovative duo Dana & Melanie Harvey over at Original Harveys Seatbeltbags asked me to be a judge in INTRO: An Art & Fashion Competition they were holding for undiscovered artists everywhere to let their creative visions come to life in the collaboration of designing a tote bag.  I was included among some fantastic guests judges from magazines such as Paper, Swindle and Surface, brand icons Paul Frank, Shane Geil and Tarina Tarantino, and successful artists including Craola and Sujean Rim.

Selected by the public-at-large with more than 25,000 votes, guests judged a selection of nearly 100 submissions and Winners Cody Lusby, Katie Schutte, and Nancy Chiu will be given the opportunity to host their own dedicated art show and receive royalties from the net-profits of each tote they’ve designed. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for them to break into both the art and fashion worlds simultaneously to kick-off a successful career.
