THE STORE “atmos opened in Harajuku in May 2000, as a gallery-style sneaker shop. The space allowed us to showcase 55 pairs of shoes individually and this unique display style caused a sensation amongst sneaker fans and received attention worldwide.
“In 2001, we launched our apparel brand “atmos”, which took us beyond footwear and earned us the support of major international labels.
“The main business focus is now on apparel design inspired by sneakers, and “atmos” provides our consumer with a total fashion look, from head to toe.
“The brand name was inspired by the word “atmosphere”, and company’s aim to be the brand that is always going to be around people – just like an atmosphere.”
