THE STORE “Our legendary sneaker shop located in the middle of Los Angeles was conceived as a tribute to Japanese architecture and Los Angeles vernacular.
“The store opened on September 11th, 2002 and has since reached iconic status amongst sneaker heads worldwide.”
THE PUMP20 PRODUCT “The shoe was inspired by vintage hiking boots. Most hiking boots you see are brown, black or grey leather, with a high top, so we wanted to stick with the hiking boots material, but then at the same time, we wanted to make them with a twist.
“We chose a rich navy and yellow colorway, which isn’t traditionally used for hiking boots, so the shoes have all those hiking boot elements but with different fabrication.
“We picked the colors navy and yellow, to give it a whole preppy color and keep it wearable and classy-looking.” Hubert Vo, Undefeated.
